'Smart money' refers to big institutions — banks and funds — whose large orders are assumed to drive major market moves. Smart money concepts try to trade in their footsteps.

The framework can sharpen how you read liquidity and structure, but it is a model, not insider knowledge. Retail traders can't actually see institutional orders, so keep expectations and risk realistic.
