Order block — definition & meaning

A price zone where large institutional orders are thought to have entered.

In smart money concepts, an order block is a candle or zone believed to mark where big institutions placed significant orders before a strong move.

Traders mark these zones expecting price to react to them again when it returns. Order blocks are an interpretation, not a proven fact — treat them as areas of interest and always manage risk.
