Fill or kill (FOK) — definition & meaning

An order that must execute in full immediately or be cancelled.

A fill-or-kill order must be filled completely and instantly, or it is cancelled entirely — no partial fills are allowed.

It is used when a trader needs a whole position at once and will not accept getting only part of it. It is more common in stocks and futures than retail forex.
